Customer details are added to BMS and shared across all the BMS Apps, this ensures that BMS is the one source of truth for all Customer info.

Customers can be created in either the Sales, Billing, Service and Stock Apps, or converted to a Customer in the CRM App.

How to create a Customer on BMS:

Step 1: Creating the Customer:

• Within either the Sales, Billing, Service or Stock Apps, select the Customer icon and click 'New Customer'

• Enter in all the relevant details for the Customer:

If the Customer has already been created in another application within BMS, as you start typing the Customer Name, a 'Similar businesses found...' window will appear to the right. If the Customer you are creating exists in the list, simply click 'Use this business': 

• The Customer Code field is automatically populated if left empty.
• As for Company Registration and VAT Numbers, enter these in under the Identifiers.
• The Email address entered in will be the Main contact for the customer and is used as the recipient for Invoices.
• The Address and an email address is required to create the customer.
• Click Create Customer.

If the Xero Integration is setup, these customer details can be completely pushed into Xero by simply clicking 'Sync Customer with Xero':

Step 2: Loading Customer Contacts:

• Select the Contacts Tab under the new Customer record and click 'New Contact':

• Enter in all the relevant details for the contact person and click 'Create Contact':

Step 3: Loading Multiple Sites for the Customer:

• For clients that have multiple sites, these details can be entered in under the Sites Tab under the Customer record. Click 'New Site':

• Enter in all the relevant details for the site.
• Site Contacts will be populated from the Contacts created in Step 2.
• Click 'Create site'

• For multiple sites, create a new site for each location. These locations will be used for Deliveries and Jobs.
