PaperCut ERROR: Your device is at OpenAPI version 4.13, Upgrade to 5.0 or above.

Product: PaperCut MF, Hive, Konica Minolta Devices

Problem: 'ERROR: Your device is at OpenAPI version 4.13, Upgrade to 5.0 or above.' appears when installing PaperCut onto a Konica Minolta Device, even though the firmware installed supports OpenAPI Ver. 5 and above:

Possible causes: 

1) The device is configured as a Develop/ineo model which may currently be incompatible with the PaperCut app.

Solution: 

1) Configure the device as a Konica Minolta model by changing Softswitch 10 to HEX 02 and try again. Once the Softswitch is updated, reboot the device, this will basically factory reset the device and will require configuration from scratch again, so ensure you perform a backup of settings if required.
